sunbathing without the sun

We had a great party with our ward (local church congregation) today. The plan was to bbq and play at the lake in the water and sunshine. Everything but the sunshine went as planned. 

Leah and Ryan had a great time splishing and splashing in the water.

And showing me exactly why she much prefers him to me. 

It wasn't long before the young women of the ward descended upon their favorite Miss Leah. She totally eats it up. 

Kate dressed in her best baby sunbathing attire, but decided to snooze instead. I don't blame her. 

Despite the dark skies {and a little bit of rain}, it was a beautiful day. 

We had a wonderful time and were happy to spend it with people we have grown to love so much this past year.
