the leah-tard

three cheers for grandma hauley!! my mom found this little leah-tard (as we like to call it) at wright costumes in slc. it was the smallest they had! then, talented seamstress that she is (a trait i did NOT inherit), she made this little turqoise ballet slip. oh my word. love it! i used to be a ballerina a long time ago, so it's fun to dress her up in these sorts of things!and, lest you think everything is candy and sunshine here at the layton household, here is a small glimpse into what my life has been like for the last week or so. yah, i'm not kidding. poor leah is getting...i'm not sure how many...teeth, but it's a mouthful. At least 3 molars, maybe four, and one or two other teeth. Wow! the middle picture is a perfect picture to recap my point of view. (teething is also the reason she is only chewing on the ballet slippers above...)

so, i apologize for the lack of posting (kim), but this was the reason. she's a little happier today (hence the ability to even attempt this photo shoot), so hopefully we're on the upswing.

Leah has the cutest photo shoots ever! What a doll! She looks so grown up with her pig tails in back. I love the sad photos too but I know how miserable that can be for both of you. Happy teething Leah...

These are some of the sweetest photos ever. I love that leah fits the tard and the skirt - I also love the polka dot tights. She's a sweetheart - even when she cries. And even in australia.

She looks like a balleria in pain in the second part! It reminds me of a scene from Save the Last Dance, where her toes are bleeding after dancing! Leah is cute and I love her little outfit! Emily

Cute pictures! But I'm so glad you had a little girl. The pictures just wouldn't be as cute if a little Ryan was wearing a tard.

MOLARS ARE BAD!! Oh Maren, I so feel your pain about the sad baby. It seems like Danika has been working on getting her molars forever and it makes her a cranky little child!

Sweet little thing! Oh, the middle picture on the sad-spread makes me ache to pick her up. Angel!

I want an outfit like that. For me.

How cute. I like her leah tard! I have been behind on blogs for awhile. It's good to hear leah is making some progress since you have started her in physical therapy. Good luck with all of that.
