signs of the times...

i think most people know that true meaning can get lost in translation and that was DEFINITELY true in china. we saw some hilarious signs and t-shirts (LOTS of funny t-shirts). some we couldn't get pictures of, but here are some of our favs...

the non-funny first:

because i'm his "library girl"... we LOVED this sign...especially the mccafe ones...that means they had ICE CREAM!...
this was a nice sign too...
and this was fun...it counted down before the olympics started and then up after the opening ceremonies...
and now for the funny (or at least i think so)...

i just thought these illustrations were hilarious. is that what i looked like when i was pregnant??

i'm just confused as to what a cheeseburger has to do with anything...

says the sign to the parents who just left their child in another country for two weeks...

i think they meant 'irreplaceable'??...

good to know that part of the forbidden city was "made possible by the american express company"...i didn't know they were around back then...
