pumpkins!

In an effort to take advantage of the fall foliage, breathtaking views, unbelievable weather and Ryan's fall break {and to make good on a promise I made last year}, we went pumpkin picking as a family.

We do love the farm we went to last year, but decided to venture into the unknown and chose to visit Cedar Circle Farm across the river in Thetford, VT. It proved to be a wise decision! We were the only ones there that afternoon, which left us free to wander in the patch for as long as we pleased and pick the perfect pumpkins for our family of four.

Leah made it very clear which pumpkin she chose both with eye gaze and a strong slap of the hand. After we purchased our pickings, we spent more than an hour discovering the upper Upper Valley in its fall splendor together.

An afternoon well spent.
