dc day by day: six

Day six was driving day. We slept in, packed up later than we though, got caught in traffic and lost in DC more than once and finally got on the right freeway headed north. The drive was uneventful. Kate slept, ate and chatted. Leah listened to her music, slept and ate. I read, gazed out the window and ate. Ryan drove, ate, listened to a book on tape and drove some more. We're pretty chill in the car and that's the way we like it. 

We stopped for lunch to fill our bellies and empty our bladders and even made a stop in Connecticut at the beloved IKEA. If only we had had more room in the car...

As we headed farther north, New Hampshire, in true New Hampshire style, welcomed us home from SPRING break with a blizzard. Nice. Even so, it was good to be home. A whirlwind of a trip, but so much fun.
