grateful - no. 14

grateful | youthful examples

in my church, many adult members are asked to serve in various "callings" positions or assignments where members have been asked to serve. we have no plaid clergy. our entire church is run on a volunteer basis.my current calling is to teach the 12-13 year old girls each sunday. topics vary from chastity to setting goals to healthy habits and everything inbetween. i have to admit, it's not the easiest calling. most of my life, i've had musical callings that don't really stretch me at all. i just play the piano and sit in the background. this calling takes a lot of time! to prepare and give a lesson each sunday and attending weekly activities with all girls ages 12-18.

but i love it!

these girls are so smart and happy and good not to mention fashionistas! they are such wonderful examples to me of living in the world, but not living of the world. many are leaders in their schools and after-curricular activities and are involved in serving in the community. they are musical and athletic and smart and they teach me so much every time i'm with them. i love spending my time with my girls!

I didn't know you taught the beehives?!? So do I. It is definitely time consuming but fun! Love Leah's school picture! So cute.
