great escape four
For the fourth year running, Kristen, Lindsey and I managed to plan and carry out a great escape. And it truly was great. I honestly can't believe it actually happened. With me in New Hampshire, Kristen in SoCal and Lindsey in Utah, plus two husbands on internships, it's kind of a miracle that it all worked out. I guess we moms can do anything we set our minds to, huh?
We spent non-stop time together for...count them...
one...
two...
two and a half...days!
The 2.5 days can be described as primp, eat, shop, eat, shop, eat, sleep, eat. Repeat.
Seriously. These girls know how to primp. And eat. And shop. We spent our time eating at Brio, Kneaders, Tucanos and other fine establishments {like Arctic Circle}. Lindsey was a huge fan of the chicken hearts at Tucanos.
And we shopped our student-budget hearts out at City Creek and the Park City Outlets.
Throw in a late night movie {Bring It On, of course}, my first-ever massage, a pedicure, shakes, some card games and lots of laughs, and you've pretty much got it covered.
Oh yah, and plenty of picture taking. Complete with figuring out which profile is best on each of us so we'd know where to stand in photos.
We weren't completely removed from our little ones as both Lindsey and I have newborns and we slept at Lindsey's beautiful new home in Utah. But, Madison and Kate were, for the most part, angels. Kristen was happy to hold a baby at any given moment and our husbands were great to work out some times where we could fly solo, just the big girls.
I love, love, love these two more than words can describe. Already getting excited to see their beautiful faces next year.

Couldn't have summed it up better myself. Great Escapes are some of my all time favorite memories with you and Linds. Can't wait for next year!
